ABOUT GREW

GREW is an Erasmus+ project composed of 4 organisations from 3 EU countries: Italy, Poland and Bulgaria. The project has as a priority Inclusion and diversity in all fields of education, training, youth and sport. In this respect, it aims to contribute to the inclusion of ethnic minorities using ETS (Education through Sport) methodologies and thus improve the outreach of this population group by addressing the discrimination they may face in society. With this project, the partners intend to create an inclusive and peaceful environment where equality and equity are key words.
Duration: 2022-12-01 - 2024-11-30.

The project aims to reach the following objectives

Increase mutual understanding among different ethnical communities

Counteract racism and discrimination through education

Promote ETS methodologies as a tool for long learning outcomes

Project results

Research about the good practices on the needs of the two target groups: NGO's Trainers and sport educators and young athletes from ethnic minorities. And the second phase: production of a GREW Training Format

Execution of a local phase (for each Partner) for raising awareness on the inclusion of ethnic minorities in Sport. This phase will be managed by each partner organization at country level with a primary role assumed by the educators within the organizations.

Research about the good practices, Training Format and the Activities implemented in the local phase will be inserted in the “GREW Handbook on the prevention of racism among young people"

Creation of a standard format for the “Sport for Ethnic minorities” Tournament

Dissemination Events in each Partner country will be put in place in coincidence with the last days of Local Activities: Awareness-raising activities at the local level; Sports events with young people; and Online campaigns.
